Fashion Stops Trafficking 2013 draws the Young, FashionableandSocially-Conscious Crowd to South-West London

The Fashion stops Trafficking 2013 event held on the 5th of January at the Star and Garter Pub in Putney was a definite hit with the young crowd it drew out, despite the wintry chills. With two catwalk shows, a number of performances, a raffle draw and racks of clothing, accessories & customised pieces available to purchase, it was a successful night in raising funds for and throwing the spotlight on the 21st century injustice of Human Trafficking and the activities of the A21 Campaign. A21 is an international charity that prevents and fights the activities of traffickers and helps rehabilitate the lives of girls rescued from the atrocious horrors of being trafficked.

VLSL was at the event to support a cause close to our hearts and we have images from the event to share. There was fashion by Zoe Bloomer (designer of the "Freedom" t-shirts and vest tops) whose collection of silk pieces made my night and Anna Seven (twin fashionistas) whose African-themed customisations took us back to the homeland, with nothing but fondness of course.
