Bandage Dresses - Raging Hot this Summer

The Bandage dress (also known as the body con dress) made quite a splash last season when Herve Leger was revived by Max Azria with a revamped collection of the 80s style. All girls loved the trend but a few like me (if not most) balked at the price range of at least $800 - $1,200.

Another season is here and Herve Leger is still making waves with these dresses which come in a variety of styles, necklines and colours. My favourite three are these ones available from Net-a-porter (http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/39836) and Bloomingdales (http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=381215&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results)

Herve Leger Bandage Dresses
Lucky girl that I am, I managed to get hold of one in the Bloomingdale 'Girls nite out' sale some few weeks ago. The girls in NYC certainly aren't letting it get away from them because H&M has provided an affordable version, and its flying off the shelves like leaves off a tree during fall season.

If you are looking to be a hot-looking fashionista this summer, I am pleased to share with you some affordable bandage dresses from online stores and high street stores:

On sale for less than $200, this beautiful bandage-inspired LBD from ABS by Allen Schwartz available at Bloomingdales is top of my list. Every girl needs a great LBD to revv up her confidence.(http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=137926&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results)

This Asymmetric Bandage Dress by Mango (http://www.mango.com) at £40 is a steal and in a gorgeous rich colour just right for summery nights out.

http://www.oli.co.uk has defied all odds and become a one-stop shop for hot threads. Their Panel Bandage Dress by Lipsyhttp://www.oli.co.uk/Lipsy-Zip-Panel-Dress/productdisplay.stm?An=673&A=92W626%5F12&N=4294965277+4294967158+673+697+715+4294965707&Au=P%5FMasterItem&Nu=P%5FMasterItem&Ns=P%5FColour%7C0%7C%7CP%5FSize%7C0 at £70 is more than a bargain. Need I say more?

My favourite Store House of Fraser features this Lipsy Block Colour Bandage Dress at less than £100. This would be my pick for the adventurous colour-toting hottie.

If you are seeking the party girl outfit, the mini styled dresses work well. For a great red-carpet formal effect, the knee-length dresses work very well as well.
Whatever your taste, the body con rocks all the way. So, what's it going to be? Are you going to stay on the sidelines of style, me think not.
